coats of green

i found this today. beautiful orange, red and gold laying on the ground looking very autumnish. i find that dawn is coming later and later and it seems as if even nature is as tired as i am. good things have happened and i am grateful for that. i am very very grateful for the good things... in fact there was a perfect moment yesterday when i felt very connected and rooted to what is positive and good. as i was listening to someone speaking i had a palpable moment of love. it was a feeling of connection and understanding that i have rarely experienced. i missed the alaska boys so much i got a little teary.. i didn't miss them in a lonely or isolated way but in a good way... i missed them because i wanted them to have that perfect moment as well. hopefully sharing it with them by phone was enough... sometimes we can only send our love over waves mastered by man and hope that on the other end the warm feeling hasn't been lost in the satellite feed. i'm choosing to believe that love transmits regardless of the medium. in the meantime i am enjoying the rain and the autumn colors beginning to show through the coat of green the mountains wear.
